Welcome to bioconverter.com, McElvaney Associates Corporation's source for information about our innovative conservation technology, the BioConverter. A MAC BioConverter transforms organic wastes into gas energy and co-products including organic soil conditioners, fertilizers, foliars, and feed additives in a vessel engineered for cleanliness and operational stability.
The BioConverter provides cost-effective treatment of a wide variety of organic waste streams, including pre- and post-consumer food waste, fats, oils, and grease (FOG), agricultural residues (crop and animal wastes), municipal and industrial sludges (sewage and paper pulp), and yard wastes.
The energy output from the BioConverter is in the form of BioGas, which may be used directly to produce thermal or electrical energy, or cleaned to pipeline quality to be used as vehicle fuel or for introduction into local distribution systems.
Co-products from the BioConversion process include organic soil conditioners (BioSoil), fertilizers (BioFert), foliars (BioGreen, BioTonic), and feed additives (BioFeed). These products provide organic nutrients, currently in limited supply, to producers of organic foods, filling the growing void between supply of and demand for non-chemical fertilizers and nutrients.
Opportunities to apply BioConversion technology exist where one or more of the following occur:
Organizations which utilize BioConverter technology will benefit from reduced energy costs and dependence on fossil fuels, reduced waste disposal costs, and enhanced environmental stewardship.
