Services

McElvaney Associates Corporation provides complete professional services in the field of bioconversion (anaerobic digestion). We have over 38 years of combined direct experience developing various types of systems and enjoy working in collaborative environments.

Retainer and rates are negotiable per length of contract, for a given project, or for specific tasks to be completed.

  1. Planning

    Pre-engineering tasks

    • Waste audit or inventory of available wastes on-site, in proximity, and within 10 mile radius
    • Risk assessment of waste availability long term vs. short term for the life of the project
    • Risk assessment of long term contractual agreements with the local authority, ie. commissions, councils, departments
    • Short term receiving options, costs associated with this on call option.
    • Number of short-term contracts necessary for quantity required for operation
    • Logistics - time, and size of delivery truck off-loading, rinsing, cleaning, and sanitizing, volumes to be treated, etc.
    • On-site and off-site transportation of wastes, residues, and byproducts
    • By product/end-user market profile
    • Assessment of relative economies of retail (value added + packaging) vs. bulk wholesale
    • Addressing environmental issues of the local regulatory agencies
    • Local utility cost-avoided rate contracts for independent power producer
    • Parallel service hook-up fees and administrative costs
    • Identifying hidden costs, i.e. delays typical in waste producing industry, long term plans for shut down, continuation, and /or expansion of producers
    • Mixed waste facility - byproduct review of current recycle market costs of typical rates paid by receivers/consolidators
